As an AI/ML Engineer/Architect, your work at GDIT will be directly aligned with the mission of GDIT's Defense sector. You will play a pivotal role in designing and delivering AI/ML solutions that enable faster decisionmaking, enhanced situational awareness, and improved operational readiness.

• Lead/Manage/Support the development of AI/ML architectures for fleet operations, cyber defense, and logistics, ensuring scalability, security, and compliance with DoW standards.

• Collaborate with crossfunctional teamsincluding data scientists, systems engineers, and enterprise architectsto translate complex requirements into robust, deployable solutions.

• Drive key outcomes such as reduced data processing times, increased predictive accuracy, and accelerated AI model deployment across command networks.

• Utilize cuttingedge technologies such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Kubernetes, and secure multiparty computation to meet the Defense sector's stringent security and performance requirements.

• Design and implement agentic AI systems leveraging Crew AI, LangChain, LangGraph, OpenAI, Model Context Protocol (MCP) to enable tool use, memory, and multi-step autonomous task execution.

WHAT YOULL NEED TO SUCCEED
Bring your expertise and drive for innovation to GDIT. The AI Engineer/ Architect must have:

Education: Bachelor of Science in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Computer Science, or another STEM field.
Experience: 8+ years of related experience in AI/ML engineering, solution architecture, and system integration, with a proven track record in defense or federal government environments.
Technical skills:

• Proficiency in AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, ScikitLearn).

• Strong background in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container orchestration (Kubernetes).

• Experience with secure data pipelines, encryption, and compliance with DoW security controls.

• Ability to develop and present AI proposals, including feasibility studies, cost estimates, and implementation roadmaps.

Security clearance level: Active Secret clearance to start with the ability to obtain a TOP SECRET/SCI
US citizenship required
Role requirements:

• Excellent consultative selling skills; ability to engage stakeholders, identify new opportunities, and articulate the value of AI/ML solutions.

• Strong communication and leadership skills; ability to distill complex requirements into actionable deliverables and guide multidisciplinary teams.

• Willingness to travel (up to 25%) and work on-site at GDIT facilities as needed.
