As a Network Engineer, the work youll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of the Diplomatic Security Service at the Department of State. You will play a crucial role in installing, operating, and maintaining network infrastructure.
Support the network architecture running crucial analytic applications.

Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth and reliable operation of software and systems for fulfilling business objectives and processes.

Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth and reliable operation of various network appliances and infrastructure hardware for ensuring system availability and reliability.

Monitor, maintain, support, and optimize all networked software associated operating systems.

Analyzes and implements DOS Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) to ensure the security of the network architecture.

Participate in the upgrading of operating systems and design of network enhancements.

Provides input on new or existing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to network administration.

Develop and maintain network architecture diagrams.

WHAT YOULL NEED TO SUCCEED

Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science
Experience: 5+ years of related experience
Technical skills: Cisco, IPSec Tunnels, Network Engineering, Network Security
Security clearance level: Possess and maintain a Secret clearance

US citizenship required
Role requirements: On site
