Job Description
Job Summary Must be a sworn member of the Anne Arundel County Police Department. Officer shall be in good standing with the Anne Arundel County Police Department. Officers are required to possess a Maryland Police Training Commission (MPTC) Card and Anne Arundel County Police credentials. Officer must adhere to Anne Arundel County Police Department policies regarding secondary employment. Primary Responsibilities The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification. They are not to be construed as an exhaustive list of all job responsibilities performed. Functions with an awareness and application of safety/legal/emergency standards as identified within the institution. Ensures confidentiality and rights of patients and employees and the confidentiality of all hospital and departmental documents, including following HIPAA. Ability to follow oral and written instructions, seeking guidance when appropriate. Assumes responsibility for job duties and is accountable for own actions. Adheres to and enforces all hospital and department policies and procedures. Demonstrates understanding of hospital compliance policies. Performs related duties as required or assigned. Partner in the mission and upholds the core principles of the organization. Committed to diversity and recognizes value of cultural ethnic differences. Demonstrate personal and professional integrity. Maintains an attendance record that satisfies the hospitals requirement for merit increase eligibility. Reports to work on time Provides appropriate advanced notice for unscheduled absence and tardiness. Completes mandatory programs and training. Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education & Experience - Required Provide the minimum required education that includes the discipline(s). Provide the minimum year(s) and type(s) of experience required (do not use a range). Provide required certifications and/or licensures. Two (2) years previous experience as a police officer in good standing with their assigned Agency in the State of Maryland or MPTC card equivalent Sworn police officer in the State of Maryland Education requirements shall be equal to the requirement put forth by Anne Arundel Police Department.
